The Coaching Framework

We understand that every athlete is unique. No two people will share the same physical make up, experience, mindset or lifestyle. That is why at Tried & Tested we only offer personalised, tailored programmes specific to the individual, depending on the focus area. We work with individuals who specialise in time trialling, crit or road racing right up to Gran Fondo endurance racing. We also work with individuals who train and perform across all branches of the sport. What is important to us is that your programme is holistic, realistic and is suited to your specific needs and ambitions.  

 

Our coaching approach is based on the following framework:

  • A deep dive review of your training and racing history to date to obtain greater insights into your phenotype, training intensity distribution, recovery and much more.

 

  • A 'clarity session' where we identify and discuss your key objectives and what challenges or barriers you currently face.

 

  • An analysis of your riding style, position and efficiency on the bike (in person if local, or virtual).

 

  • Regular dialogue between coach and athlete to ensure progression stays on track. This can either be via email or via WhatsApp or Zoom call.

 

  • Regular review and adjustment of the plan to fit in with your own personal development and circumstances.

 

  • Help with mindset and building confidence.

 

  • All training programmes loaded into a TrainingPeaks account.
