Triathlon Half Ironman Plans

Triathlete completing Ironman Austria

About

I coach several Triathletes and one of the key issues for them is trying to combine all the disciplines around a busy work and family life. You don’t need to be training 20 hours a week to achieve a very good level of fitness, the key to becoming good at anything is firstly to be consistent, and that is train most days if you can. 10-12 hours a week will get you to a very good place. Those days don’t all need to be super long or super hard. But they should have a certain quality about them. In particular the swim. Below are the links to two specific plans that are Half Ironman focused but could still be used to help form the basis of both short and long course events. https://www.trainingpeaks.com/training-plans/triathlon/half-ironman/tp-565082/the-tried-tested-half-ironman-plan-base-phase https://www.trainingpeaks.com/training-plans/triathlon/half-ironman/tp-653899/the-tried-tested-half-ironman-build-peak-phase
